Background
These digital ads were created for a marketing class to generate brand awareness and promote a lead magnet to attract new subscribers. I needed to create eight ads in total - three for the awareness campaign, and five for the lead magnet campaign.
Challenge
The thing I found most challenging during this project was creating the ad copy. Marketing requires a very specific way of writing and presenting information (short, snappy, action-oriented, etc.) and it took a lot of planning and brainstorming to frame the messaging in a way I was happy with.
Process
This project was less about the actual design of the ads (although that was still important) and more about creating effective messaging. For the awareness ad, the focus was on affordability - so I wanted a headline that spoke to rising costs. For the lead magnet ad, the focus was on the cost-savings - so the headline highlights cost-savings from home grooming.
Results
I'm very happy with how the ads turned out. I think the messaging is really effective - it's active and engaging, and communicates the core concepts of the brand. The visuals also turned out really well - I think the yellow backgrounds are very eye-catching and the whole colour palette works really well together.
